What is Pi used for and Why is it Important?
Pi is used in many applications from architecture to engineering and from elementary math to high school calculus. One of the most popular uses for Pi is to find the circumference of a circle, but it also has other practical uses. You also use Pi when dealing with 3- Dimensional applications such as the volume of a cylinder, the total area of an object and its lateral area, which is the surface of an object not including its bases. Additionally Pi is used to find the area of a sector of a circle among the circles circumference, diameter, and radius.
Some consider Pi to be the most important mathematical constant becuase it is not solely limited to one field of math or science but instead is a part of many fields such as physics, statistics, and sociology and many people depend on it in their professions everyday.
